The NGO Committee on Freedom of Religion or Belief will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, April 23, featuring Sheikha Alya Ahmed Seif Al-Thani, who serves as the Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations for Qatar.

The Ambassador will speak on a recent conference in Qatar, as well as other initiatives by her country, to promote interfaith cooperation and freedom of religion or belief.

Also speaking at the event will be Joëlle Fiss, Senior Associate for the Fighting Discrimination Program at Human Rights First.

This event will take place Wednesday, April 23, 2014, from 4 to 5:15 p.m., in the Bahá’í International Community United Nations Office, located at 866 UN Plaza (Suite 120), New York, NY 10017.
